About DeenRoot

DeenRoot is built for one purpose: to give people anywhere in the world a calm, accurate, distraction-free place to read the Quran with translation in their own language. That's the core of it — everything else (Hadith, Qibla direction, an AI assistant for Islamic questions) is built around that same goal of making authentic Islamic knowledge easy to reach.

The Quran reader currently offers 263 translation editions across 86 languages, along with Arabic text, word-by-word study tools, tafsir, and audio recitation — with more languages and features added over time.

Scripture is treated as immutable. Once an ayah's Arabic text is stored, it is never silently overwritten by a later API response — a mismatch is flagged, not applied. Content is sourced from established providers and cached for speed and reliability.

DeenRoot is built and maintained by a single software engineer, independently, outside of any organization. It isn't open-source at this stage, but the goal from day one has been the same: keep it free, keep it accurate, and keep it free of ads and paywalls.
