Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi narrated:
"When the Prophet (ﷺ) would prostrate, he placed his nose and his forehead on the ground, and he held his forearms away from his sides, and he placed his hands parallel to his shoulders."

Al-Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib narrated that he heard :
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) Saying: "When the worshipper prostrates with him: His face, his hands, his knees, and his feet."

Ibn Abbas narrated:
"The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that one prostrate on seven bones and that he not gather his hair nor his garment."

What Has Been Related About Holding The Forearms Away From The Sides During Prostration
Ubaidallah bin Abdullah bin Arqam Al-Khuza'I narrated from his father (Abdullah bin Arqam), who said:
"I was with my father at the plains of Namirah. I passed by a mount and saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) standing in Salat." He said: "I was looking at the earthiness of his armpits when he prostrated." [That is]: "Whiteness."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَقْرَمِ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بِالْقَاعِ مِنْ نَمِرَةَ فَمَرَّتْ رَكَبَةٌ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي قَالَ فَكُنْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى عُفْرَتَىْ إِبْطَيْهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ أَىْ بَيَاضِهِ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَحْمَرَ بْنِ جَزْءٍ وَمَيْمُونَةَ وَأَبِي حُمَيْدٍ وَأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي أُسَيْدٍ وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ وَالْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ وَعَدِيِّ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَأَحْمَرُ بْنُ جَزْءٍ هَذَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَهُ حَدِيثٌ وَاحِدٌ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَقْرَمَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَقْرَمَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَقْرَمَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ إِنَّمَا لَهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ الزُّهْرِيُّ صَاحِبُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ كَاتِبُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ

Jabir narrated that :
the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When one of you prostrates, then let him be balanced, and let him not lay his forearms down like the lying of the dog."

Anas narrated that :
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Be balanced in the prostration, and let one of you not spread his forearms (on the ground) in the Salat like the spreading of the dog."
What Has Been Related About Placing The Hands and Planting The Feet During Prostration
Amir bin Sa'd [bin Abi Waqqas] narrated from his father:
"The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered placing the hands (on the ground) keeping the feet erect. (by resting feet on the toes and making the tips of the toes facing the Qiblah)."

(Another chain that) Amir bin Sa'd narrated:
"The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered placing the hands (on the ground)." And he mentioned in it: "From his father."

Al-Bara bin Azib narrated:
"The Salat of Allah's Messenger (was such that) when he bowed, and when he raised his head from bowing, and when he prostrated, and when he raised his head from prostration it (all) was nearly the same."

Al-Bara said:
"When we performed Salat behind Allah's Messenger, he would raise his head from bowing, and no man among us would bend his back until Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prostrated, then we prostrated."

Ali narrated:
"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me: 'O Ali! I love for you what I love for myself, and I dislike for you what I dislike for myself. Do not squat between prostrations.'"

Tawus said:
"We asked Ibn Abbas about squatting (sitting) on the heels. He said: 'It is the Sunnah.' We said: 'We think that it is difficult for a man.' He said: 'Rather, it is Sunnah of your Prophet.'"
Ibn Abbas narrated:
"Between the two prostrations, the Prophet (ﷺ) would say: (Allahummaghfir li, warhamni, wajburni, wahdini, warzuqni). 'O Allah! Pardon me, have mercy on me, help me, guide me, and grant me sustenance.'"
What Has Been Related About Supporting Oneself During Prostration
Abu Hurairah narrated:
"[Some of] the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) complained [to the Prophet] about the hardship of the prostration on them, when they were so spread out, so he said: 'Use your knees.'"
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ اشْتَكَى بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَشَقَّةَ السُّجُودِ عَلَيْهِمْ إِذَا تَفَرَّجُوا فَقَالَ اسْتَعِينُوا بِالرُّكَبِ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَ هَذَا وَكَأَنَّ رِوَايَةَ هَؤُلاَءِ أَصَحُّ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ اللَّيْثِ

Malik bin Al-Huwairith Al-Laithi narrated that he saw :
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) performing Salat. When he was in an odd number of his Salat, he would not get up until he had sat completely.
